The owner of a 2010 Toyota Corolla contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the Unit block Pawley’s Court in the Parkville area of Baltimore County, Maryland.

Baltimore County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2010 Toyota Corolla.

A short while later detectives in the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2010 Toyota Corolla with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 5500 block Plymouth Road in Baltimore. At that location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Detectives recovered the vehicle and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Toyota Corolla during July, 2009 at Jones Toyota in Belair, Maryland.
