This Scion TC was stolen during the late evening to early morning hours from NE Thompson Street.  When the theft was discovered the next morning, it was reported to the Portland Police Bureau.  They verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.

That same afternoon, Portland Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal transmitting from the Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles  and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 12000 block of SE Henderson Drive where the stolen Scion was located abandoned and undamaged

The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion in June of 2006.
