This Nissan was stolen during the late evening to early morning hours from SE Pine Street in Gresham.  When the theft was discovered the next morning, it was reported to the Gresham Police Department.  They verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Later that day, Portland Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal transmitting from the Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles  and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 600 block of SE 168th Street where the car was located abandoned and undamaged.  It was returned to the owner who had purchased it used in Washington and had LoJack installed at that time.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan in April of 2013.
