The owners of a 2012 Honda Accord discovered that their car was stolen from their driveway in San Pablo.

San Pablo PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A few hours later, Oakland Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an industrial area in Oakland.   The Honda was abandoned and undamaged on the street.  The owners of the car were notified of its recovery and the vehicle was released in the field.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Honda Accord in November 2011.
