The owners of a 2005 GMC Yukon contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence.

Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

Seven minutes later, officers from the Arizona DPS Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Yukon with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to I-10 in central Phoenix. The Yukon was found unoccupied on I-10 near 7th Street.  The vehicle was recovered and processed for evidence.  The Yukon was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC Yukon in February 2007.
