The owner of a 2006 Lexus ES300 contacted the Fort Worth Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her apartment complex by her ex-boyfriend.

The Fort Worth Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

A short while later, a detective from the Tarrant County Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that is installed in his vehicle.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detective tracked the stolen Lexus to a mall and found it parked on the first floor of a parking garage.  The detective set up surveillance and observed a suspect walk up to the stolen Lexus, open the driver’s door and enter.  The detective was able to apprehend the suspect before he could drive off. The Lexus was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus ES300 in January of 2007.
