LoJack® System Helps San Diego Police Department Recover Stolen Jeep Compass

The owners of a 2013 Jeep Compass contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in San Diego.

San Diego police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep Compass.

Minutes later, officers from San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Jeep Compass with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 4100 block of Ohio Street in San Diego. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Compass in May 2013.
