The owners of a Lincoln LS four door contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a business parking lot in north Phoenix.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lincoln.

A few minutes later officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Lincoln with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a “Park and Ride” parking lot approximately four miles from the theft location.

The stolen Lincoln was found unoccupied at this location.  The vehicle was processed for evidence and returned to the owner in good condition

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln LS in June 2003.
