The construction foreman   contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their backhoe they had rented   was stolen from the construction site at Cullen Blvd & Schurmier Rd. The machine was dropped off at job site and last seen by customer on the weekend. The customer site manager arrived this morning and discovered the machine missing.

Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Case Backhoe.

A short while later Houston PD officers picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen backhoe with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a large parcel of undeveloped property hidden in a grove of trees approximately 2 miles from the theft location. This case remains under investigations by Houston PD Special Ops.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Case Backhoe in May 2010.
