The owners of a 2014 Ford F350 contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway sometime during the night.

Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F350.

A short while later officers  from Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Ford F-350 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 1500 block of Penell and located it parked in an apartment parking lot. Officers set up surveillance with negative results.  The officers checked several other vehicles and found two additional stolens. The F-350 was processed for prints prior to returning to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 in March 2014.
