The owners of a Mercedes-Benz S300 contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen by an acquaintance.

Denver PD officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later a trooper with the Colorado State Patrol picked up the silent LoJack  signals from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the vehicle to general area of the Kennedy Golf Course near South Parker Road and Havana Street.  The vehicle was found undamaged and unoccupied.  It was towed for return to the owner’s.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes-Benz in August 1993.
