The owners of a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence with the keys.  The owners told the police that they were out of state and upon their return they found the residence had been burglarized and the Toyota was missing.

The Phoenix Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Twelve minutes later officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex near 28th Avenue and Peoria Avenue, in Phoenix

The Toyota was found occupied and one suspect was arrested without incident.  The Toyota was recovered in good condition and later returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota 4-Runner in August 2009.
