The owners of a Saturn Vue contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a convenience store parking lot near 7th Avenue and McDowell.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

Four minutes later officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex near 47th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

The Saturn was found unoccupied at the apartment complex.  During the investigation, officers identified two possible suspects. One suspect was located and arrested for the theft.  The Saturn was processed for evidence and returned to the owner in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Saturn Vue in February 2003.
