The owners of a 2011 Honda Fit discovered that their car was stolen from the alley behind their home in Oakland.

Oakland PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Just 8 minutes after the automatic activation of the LoJack System in the stolen Honda, Oakland PD officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack System installed on the stolen Honda on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to South Oakland where it was found abandoned on the street.  The owners of the stolen Honda were contacted to claim their undamaged stolen vehicle less than 1 hour after it was reported stolen to the police.

LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda Fit on 9/9/2011 in Oakland, CA.
