The owner of a 2010 Jaguar XF contacted the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 4800 block Alton Place NW.

The District of Columbia Metropolitan Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2010 Jaguar.

A short while later officers from DC Metro PD picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen 2010 Jaguar with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to 17th Street and Douglas Avenue NE in Washington, DC. At that location, officers found the undamaged vehicle parked and unoccupied.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Jaguar XF during March, 2010 at Manhattan Lincoln/Mercury in Rockville, Maryland.
