The owner of a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the White Marsh area of Baltimore County, Maryland.

The Baltimore County Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2009 Mitsubishi.

A short while later officers from the of the Baltimore County PD and flight officers in the Baltimore County Aviation Unit “Air One”, picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen 2009 Mitsubishi Galant with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopter.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers and flight officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of East Point Mall located in the Essex area of Baltimore County. At that location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Surveillance by officers resulted in the arrest of two suspects when they returned to the vehicle and attempted to drive away.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Mitsubishi Galant during September, 2009 at Jerry’s Chevrolet in Baltimore, Maryland.
