The owner of a 2006 Ford Mustang convertible contacted the Baltimore Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 3600 block Parkton Drive in the northwest area of Baltimore.

The Baltimore Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2006 Ford.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen 2006 Ford Mustang with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the vehicle to the 3300 block Carlins Park Drive in Baltimore. At that location, detectives observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Detectives recovered the undamaged stolen Ford Mustang and contacted the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Ford Mustang during September, 2005 at Apple Ford in Columbia, Maryland.
