The owner of this Acura MDX discovered the vehicle was stolen during the night from the street in front of his residence in Edmonds.  The theft was reported to the Edmonds Police Department.  The information was verified by Edmonds PD and they entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.
Just ten minutes after the vehicle was entered as stolen, a Washington State Patrol trooper picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Acura on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, he tracked it to an apartment complex in Lynnwood.  It was abandoned and appeared to have been parked there for some time.  It was returned to a grateful owner who purchased it used and was not aware the Acura was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura in March of 2006.
