The owners of a Cadillac CTS contacted the Tucson Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen without the keys from their residence in Tucson.

Tucson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Ten minutes later, officers from Tucson P D picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residence in Tucson.

The Cadillac was parked between two other vehicles behind a locked fence.  The officers made contact with the occupants at the residence.  The owner of the residence stated that his son had brought the Cadillac to this location on a tow truck.  The Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force detectives were contacted and are conducting further investigation into the theft of the Cadillac.  The vehicle was recovered in good condition and returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac CTS in February 2003.
