The owners of a Honda Accord contacted the El Mirage Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen during the evening hours.  The owner was working at a major department store in El Mirage and found the vehicle missing from the parking lot when he got off of work.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short while later officers from Surprise Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Honda with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a theater parking lot near Litchfield Road and Waddell Road in Surprise.

The vehicle was found abandoned in the theater parking lot.  The Honda was processed for evidence and returned to the owner in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in June, 1999.
