The owners of a 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser discovered that their vehicle was stolen from the street in front their home in San Francisco.

San Francisco PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the vehicle.

Early the next morning, after the automatic activation of the LoJack® System in the stolen Chrysler, San Francisco PD officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen vehicle on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the officers tracked the stolen car to a side street a few miles from where it was stolen.  The stolen PT Cruiser was recovered and the owners were contacted of the recovery of their undamaged vehicle.

LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Chrysler on 12/3/2010 in Colma, CA.
