The owners of a 2007 Honda Accord contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. He informed police he was at the skate park in the St. Bernard area of the city. He had left his keys on the bench and upon his return from skating, he found his keys and car had been stolen.

The New Orleans Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later officers from New Orleans Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Honda with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the central city area and found the Honda parked on the street in good shape. The police had put in a storage yard until the owner could be contacted.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in February 2008.
