The  owners of a 2014 Ford F250 contacted the Ventura Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

Ventura PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F250.

Minutes later, LAPD Air 18 flight officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Ford on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers installed in their Air Units. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the vehicle was tracked to the area of Alvarado Street and the 101 freeway. Patrol officers from LAPD-Olympic Division responded to the area and conducted a felony traffic stop, taking the suspect into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Ford F250 on 03/31/14 at El Cajon Ford, in the city of El Cajon, CA.
