The owner of a 2009 Infiniti G37 2 Door contacted the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 400 block Jefferson Street NE while he was outside the vehicle, with the keys in the ignition and the engine running.

District of Columbia Metropolitan Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2009 Infiniti G37.

A short while later officers from Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen 2009 Infiniti G37 with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to 600 Webster Street NE in Washington, DC. At that location, officers recovered the parked and unoccupied stolen Infiniti G37 and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Infiniti G37 during March, 2010 at Infiniti of Tyson Corner in Vienna, Virginia.
