The owner of a 2013 Honda Accord reported to Nassau County Police Department 4th Precinct, Valley Stream New York, that her Honda Accord was stolen from her in the parking lot of a mall. Apparently she had a fight with a former male friend who then forcibly took the car from her, and never returned it.

The Nassau  PD 4th Precinct verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and Federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed on the Honda Accord.

A short while later, police officers from Hempstead PD  picked up the silent signal from the LoJack® System installed on the Honda on their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They followed the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computer. This was in the confines of the Village of Hempstead. They tracked the signal into a residential area of Hempstead.  When they narrowed the signal down, they located the vehicle parked and unoccupied. They staked the vehicle out, after several hours when no came for it, they took the vehicle into custody.

The Honda was recovered in excellent condition, with no damage. The vehicle had been taken with the keys. The owner was notified and she was elated that her vehicle was recovered so quickly with the use of LoJack. She further stated that she was extremely happy that she purchased LoJack when she bought her vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Honda Accord on February 10, 2014 at South Shore Honda, Valley Stream NY.
