The owners of a Saturn SC contacted the San Bernardino Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.

San Bernardino PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

A short while later San Bernardino PD assets picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the San Bernardino police assets located the unoccupied vehicle parked on a San Bernardino street.  A short time later a male subject was seen entering the vehicle and driving away.  The vehicle was tracked to three different locations as the same subject continued to drive the vehicle.  San Bernardino PD tracked the vehicle to a residential area in San Bernardino where a felony stop was conducted when the driver pulled into a private residential driveway.  The driver did not know anyone at the location.
