LoJack® System Helps Fairfax Police Department Recover Stolen Mercedes Benz C-300

The owners of a 2008 Mercedes Benz C-300 contacted the Fairfax Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home located in the 9200 block Plaskett Lane in Lorton, Virginia.

Fairfax Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2008 Mercedes Benz C-300.

A short while later, officers from District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen 2008 Mercedes Benz C-300 with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the unit block Galveston Street SW in Washington, DC. At that location, officers recovered the parked and unoccupied stolen Mercedes Benz C-300 and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Mercedes Benz C-300 during January, 2008 at HBL Inc. in Vienna, Virginia.
