The owners of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler contacted the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office to report that the vehicle had been stolen.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputy verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep.

Minutes later, officers with  Aurora PD picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Wrangler with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment house near the University of Denver Anschutz Medical Campus.  The officers recovered the stolen Jeep and made two arrests.  This case remains under investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Wrangler in August 2013.
