The owners of a 2013 Toyota Tundra Pickup contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the Almeda Mall parking lot while they were inside shopping.

The Houston Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Tundra.

A short while later, officers from the Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota Tundra with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to South Green Street where the pickup was found parked and abandoned. The pickup was in good condition and released to the owner at the location.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in January 2013.
