The owners of a 2008 Toyota Corolla contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from Lubbock Street near the municipal courthouse while they were inside conducting business.

The Houston Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Corolla.

Minutes later, a K-9 officer  from  the Houston Police Department  picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota Corolla with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to 1200 Rusk where the vehicle was parked at a parking meter.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Toyota Corolla 4 Dr. in November 2007.
