NYPD 75th Precinct verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Stolen Honda CR-V.

A short while later, police officers from the NYPD, 75th Precinct picked up the silent signal from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Honda on their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, they tracked the signal into the East New York section of Brooklyn, confines of the 75th Precinct. There they tracked the vehicle which was parked on a residential street.  They decided to stake the vehicle  for a short while. However when no one ever showed up for it, they took the vehicle into custody. The vehicle was recovered with no damage. The owner was contacted and was present on the scene. She stated that apparently someone she knew had stolen the keys to her vehicle from her pocketbook and taken the vehicle without her permission. The owner was extremely happy that her vehicle was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage on it.

The investigation is continuing by Detectives of the 75 precinct, and an arrest is eminent.

The LoJack®System was installed in the 2014 Honda CR-V on November 11, 2013 at Huntington Honda Long Island NY.
