The owners of a 2013 Chrysler 200 contacted the LAPD Harbor Division to report their vehicle was stolen.

LAPD Harbor Division verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler 200.

Minutes later deputies from the LASD Compton Station picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the area of 3000 Carlin Avenue in the city of Lynwood.  The vehicle was found unoccupied.  The vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged.

The LoJack®System was installed in the Chrysler in May 2014.
