The owner of a 2007 Honda Accord contacted the California Highway Patrol to report that their 2007 Honda Accord was stolen. The owner stated they had occasion to stop on the freeway and while out of the vehicle a male suspect wearing a hoodie jumped in the vehicle and sped off.

The CHP verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later , investigators with the Delta Regional Auto Theft Task  Force picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Honda with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their undercover vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the investigators tracked the vehicle to business parking lot near Yosemite and Hwy 99 in the city of Manteca.

The vehicle was intact and did not sustain any damage. There were no suspects observed. The vehicle was released back to the victim at the scene.

The LoJack®System was installed in the Honda Accord in February 2007.
