The owners of a 2007 Toyota RAV-4 contacted the Union City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from outside their house on 37th Street in Union City.

The Union City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2007 Toyota RAV-4.

A short while later, officers from the Jersey City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot in Journal Square where the vehicle was found parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012, Toyota Corolla, in January 27, 2007.
