The owners of a 2006 Ford Ranger pickup truck contacted Pueblo PD to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their home.

Pueblo PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford Ranger.

A short while later officer with Pueblo PD picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Ford with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked signal to a closed garage on 20th Avenue.  After obtaining permission to enter the garage, the officers found the stolen truck.  Their investigation disclosed the identity of two suspects at the outset with the follow-up investigation disclosing other suspects and other crimes being solved as a result of this single recovery.

The LoJack®System was installed in the Ford Ranger in April 2014.
