The owners of a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT contacted the Oxnard Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

Oxnard PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lincoln.

Minutes later, patrol officers from Oxnard Police Department picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Lincoln on the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the vehicle was tracked to the area of Detroit Drive and Stroube Street. Officers conducted a felony traffic stop and took the suspect into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln Mark LT on 06/05/06 at Galpin Jag-Lincoln-Volvo, in the city of Van Nuys, CA.
