The owner of a 2014 MELROE BOBCAT contacted the Hemet Police Department to report that his equipment was stolen from a job site in the city of Hemet.

Hemet Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® transponder concealed in the Melrose.

Minutes later, officers from Hemet Police Department picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System  installed in the stolen Melroe Bobcat with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Bobcat to a commercial area at the 1700 block of East Florida Street in the city of Hemet.

The LoJack® Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Melrose Bobcat on January 23, 2014 in NE-Gwinner North Dakota.
