The owners’ of a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche were leaving the Broad Acres Outdoor Swap Meet, at Pecos and Las Vegas Boulevard North when they discovered their truck stolen from the parking lot. They immediately contacted the North Las Vegas Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Avalanche.

A short while later a detective  with the Southern Nevada Auto Theft Task Force known as “VIPER”  picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on stolen truck with his LoJack® Police Tracking Computer installed in his detective vehicle.  The detective found the truck parked near some apartments near Los Feliz and East Lake Mead Boulevard, and set up surveillance. The truck soon became occupied and the detective followed the truck into a nearby residential neighborhood near Nellis Boulevard and Monroe Avenue where the vehicle was stopped. Police arrested an adult male, and detained a male juvenile pending follow-up  investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed on the Chevrolet Avalanche at the owner’s request on 1/31/2006 by Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa CA.
