The owners of a 2014 Toyota Corolla contacted the Fairfield Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Fairfield Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2014 Toyota.

A short while later officers with the Fairfield Police Department were directed to a business parking lot near the intersection  of N. Texas Blvd and  Alaska Street  by the  silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota via the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the vehicle was tracked to a parking lot where officers observed it parked and abandoned.

The vehicle did not appear to have sustained any damage.

The LoJack®System was installed in the 2014 Toyota Corolla in June 2014.
