The owners of a 2010 Toyota Camry contacted the Fayetteville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

Fayetteville Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.  This was without the victim’s knowledge of the Toyota being previously installed and/or reporting to police the vehicle was equipped with the LoJack® System.

A short while later officers from the Fayetteville Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a housing complex off Cliffdale and Raeford Road.  The Toyota was located abandoned and no report of damage.  The owners were contacted to take custody of the vehicle.
