The owner of a GMC Yukon contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen in a robbery.  When she drove into her driveway, two suspects ran up to her vehicle, one opened the driver’s side door and pulled her out of the vehicle and threw her to the ground.  The suspects then drove off in her vehicle.

Officers from the Dallas Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC Yukon.

A short while later , officers from the Fort Worth Police Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Yukon with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the FWPD officers tracked the stolen Yukon to a house, where they observed it parked in the driveway.  There were several subjects inside the house, but no one claimed to know how this stolen Yukon ended up in their driveway.  This is an ongoing investigation.

The Yukon was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack®System was installed in the GMC Yukon in April of 2007.
