The San Francisco Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Later that morning, after the automatic activation of the LoJack System in the stolen Dodge, SFPD officers picked up the silent signals from the LoJack System installed on the stolen Dodge on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles.
