
LoJack® System Helps Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Recover Stolen Subaru Outback – 91 Minutes

The owner of a 2014 Subaru Outback contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from their workplace. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru.
A short while later, officers’ with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police picked up the silent signals from the LoJack® System installed on stolen Subaru with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to the residential neighborhood of Boise Street and Long Avenue, Las Vegas, where the vehicle was reportedly abandoned intact.
The stolen Subaru was tracked down 91 minutes after being entered by Las Vegas Police into NCIC.
