The owner of a 2010 Infiniti G37 left his car parked at the airport in Queens, NY, while he went on vacation, and, upon his return, discovered it had been taken from the lot. The LoJack® system had been installed when the vehicle was purchased, which was a very wise buy. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the G37, without damage, later that same day.

On July 8th, 2014, the Infiniti’s owner contacted the NYPD 113th Precinct to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the G37, which was installed at Legacy Infiniti in Lynbrook, NY.

A short while later, officers from the Nassau County 4th Precinct picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car on their LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Infiniti was located in a quiet residential area in the New Hyde Park neighborhood, where it was parked and unoccupied on the street. After a brief surveillance, the officers retrieved the undamaged G37 and returned it to its elated owner.
