The Oklahoma City, OK resident in this case discovered his 2013 Honda Civic missing from his driveway on a recent Sunday. It had been less than a year since this owner made the decision to protect his asset with the LoJack® system, and it was a very smart decision indeed. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the vehicle, in good condition, later that same day.

On July 6th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Bob Howard Honda in Oklahoma City, OK, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer with the Oklahoma City PD picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The Honda was located parked and abandoned on North MacArthur Avenue. Police retrieved the Civic, valued at $18,950, and soon returned it to its rightful owner.
