The owner of a Dodge R15 pickup noticed it was missing from his apartment complex lot on a recent Friday. Even though it was a holiday, local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system, recovered the vehicle later that same day.

On July 4th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner of a 2005 Dodge R15 pickup contacted the Pasadena Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the R15, which was installed at Clear Lake Dodge in Houston, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer from the Pasadena PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officer found the Dodge in another apartment complex lot, where it was parked and unoccupied. A person approached and was questioned by police. After several of the suspect’s personal items were found in the pickup, he was taken into custody. The R15 was soon returned to its happy owners.
