The owners of a Nissan Frontier discovered their truck missing from their residence in Albuquerque, NM, on a recent Thursday. It was also the day before July 4th, making this situation even more inconvenient. Luckily, this pickup was protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the vehicle later that same day.

On July 3rd, 2014, the Nissan’s owners contacted the Albuquerque Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Frontier, which was installed at United Nissan in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Nissan was found parked and unoccupied near the intersection of Wyoming Boulevard and Spain Road. Police retrieved the undamaged Frontier and soon returned it to its appreciative owners. .
