The owner of a Kawasaki ZX600 parked his motorcycle on the block where he lived and discovered it missing the next day. Local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system that was installed on the bike at purchase, recovered it even though the thieves had hidden it inside a private home.

On June 27th, 2014, the Kawasaki’s owner reported the crime to the Nassau Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the ZX600, which was installed at Crossbay Motorsport in Bayshore, NY, was then automatically activated.

A while later, officers from the Nassau County PD picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen bike on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The police were led to a vacant house on a residential street in the Baldwin area. Auto Squad detectives entered the home and found the Kawasaki in excellent condition. They retrieved the ZX600 and soon returned it to its elated owner. The investigation is ongoing.
