The Nashville, TN residents in this case returned home from vacation on a recent Sunday, and were shocked to discover their BMW 325i was missing from their driveway. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased proved its worth by helping local law enforcement recover the car that same day.

On June 27th, 2014, the BMW’s owners contacted the Nashville Metro Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the 325i, which was installed at Herb Chambers BMW in Boston, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Metro Nashville PD officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the BMW parked and unoccupied in one of the city’s business districts. The 325i was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
