On a recent Sunday evening in Lawrence, MA, the owner of a Dodge Caravan parked it outside her residence. The following morning, her vehicle was gone. The LoJack® system that was installed when the minivan was purchased assisted local police in making a fast, safe, same-day recovery.

On May 19th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner reported the crime to the Lawrence Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Caravan, which was installed at Ira Dodge of Medford, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Lawrence PD began picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen minivan on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Dodge was located parked and unoccupied on Water Street. Police retrieved the Caravan and soon returned it to its relieved owner.
